Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince

Blogpastor's post of Gordon Wong's review of this book. Read the lively comments on his post. Gordon Wong is an Old Testament lecturer with Trinity Theological College in Singapore. Joseph Prince is senior pastor of New Creation Church in Singapore.

ROOTSS which means "Reflections of One That Says So" posted the review and added a 5 parts additional comments: part 1; part 2,part 3, part 4 and part 5 and even one from his nephew (Gordon's that is, not Joseph's).

my copy is autographed by the man himself.

  3. Doc, could you give us a diagnosis of his theology of grace?

  4. hi blogspastor, before diagnosis, need investigation and examination :)

  5. I thought the review by Gordon Wong was very good and gracious. I wonder why there are 5 parts of response from ROOTSS. (i've read it and still don't understand - it looks more like 'attacking' Gordon's supposedly-methodism view than talking about the review itself)

  6. Hi Steven, Jason and Blogpastor,

I am very curious. So I am watching, examining, investigating and studying. Not so much on his theology of "Grace" (note capitalisation) but on the incredible effect he has on some people. And also on the almost fanatical devotion of his followers.

  7. If you know the Truth, it's not crazy following Pastor Prince. It running after Jesus. The beauty of Lord Jesus being revealed by Pastor Prince.

  8. Maybe you could check out my blog too. Haha, I am the "almost fanatical devotion of his follower" not because of him though, but because of Lord Jesus.

  10. The thing that attracts me to Lord Jesus is, when we know all our sins, past, present and future was forgiven by Lord Jesus on the cross and Daddy God does not impute any sin on us anymore, whatever the imperfection in our life, by the Grace of Lord Jesus, He filled us up and make us full.

On areas that are bad, like human proud, Lord leads me through situation that this pride diminished into thin air. All by the Grace of Jesus.

Praise the Lord! Lord Jesus came to fulfill the 10 commandments. It was nailed to His palms on the Cross. He is the mercy seat, the top part of the Holy of Holy. Human pride, in term of the budded rod of Aaron, human complains, in term of the Manna, and the 2 tablets of the Law were in the Holy of Holy, below the mercy seat.

Lord Jesus and His Grace is greater than the Law. Lord Jesus on the cross absorbed all our human sins, curses and stink of death. He was still alive after judgment. It was after His dismissal of His spirit that He finally gone.

So, law is fulfilled by Lord Jesus, there is nothing more for us to fulfill. Our only work is to believe. That's what Lord told me before I accepted Christ.

Praise the Lord Jesus for loving us so much and loving His Father, Daddy God so much that He obeyed His Will and died for me.

    Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
