JB Pastor Fellowship 25 Anniversary Dinner

The Johor Bharu Pastor Fellowship celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a gala dinner tonight. There were 600 people in attendance with representatives from the English speaking, Tamil speaking and the Mandarin speaking congregations. It was a regular melting pot of languages during the 10-course Chinese dinner.

I always believe that the pastors in a city should come together for fellowship and encouragement irrespective of their denominational or ecumenical distinctives. We should focus on our commonality rather than our differences. That is why I am so impressed by the JB Pastor fellowship. For 25 years, they have been meeting monthly (except for December) for 25 years. My hats off to them.

This year, their theme is "Fostering Relationships, Standing in Unity" which speaks well for their vision and mission.

  1. Thanks Dr Alex,
The information on your blog helped me - had to miss it as I am in Hawaii attending Haggai Institute at the moment

I hope you are enjoying your stay in Hawaii. Beautiful island and friendly people. Haggai Institute is nice too.

  3. Hi Alex,

It's really encouraging to see the unity in the body of Christ.

Just wished that there would be more of the "spirit" of the JB Pastor Fellowship elsewhere.
