dear sivin,
ReplyDeleteThank you for these links. I shall examine them.
You are welcome Alex. Mine is obviously openly bias :-) Bias in a sense while I won't say all things "emergent" and "emerging church" is THE solution to our problems ... apart from the PBS links and maybe Andy Crouch. The other links by Johnson, Mohler and even Colson are either too reactive or more negative understanding of what is postmodernism and/or postmodernity as a socio-cultural category. Then again, perhaps in the USA context there is much at stake.
ReplyDeleteYour list us useful.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that I find some Christian theologians and leaders, whom i respect greatly, reacting at an emotive level at emergent/emerging churches. I am not sure yet whether they are reacting to the eccelsiology of the emergent/emerging churches or to postmodernism. Sometimes, I am not sure they know and differentiate between the two.
