    i'd also recommend this one by Barry Cullen called 'Authentic Spirituality' or something. plus a few books from Philip Yancey.

    I have not heard of Barry Cullen and cannot find the book on amazon.com and Christianbooks.com. Do you have more information of the book? I have read Authentic Faith by Gary Thomas.

    These books are recommended as textbooks for college and seminary teaching. Philip Yancey writes good books but for a popular audience. I love Yancey's books and writing.
