World Vision's HIV/AIDS Exhibition in Johor Bahru

One Life Revolution (OLR) is an interactive experience that allows people to „walk in the shoes‟ of others who have suffered the plight of social injustice. The life-size exhibition gives people the opportunity to come in direct contact with someone else‟s life as they struggle to cope with HIV/AIDS and living in harsh conditions prone to child trafficking. One Life Revolution (OLR) was conceptualised by World Vision US as a cause to unite people in the United States to come together and act upon the plight of AIDS particularly in Africa. Since its inception in 2002, the exhibition has attracted over 50,000 visitors nationwide. Due to the overwhelming response, World Vision offices outside the United States have mounted and/or are mounting similar OLR exhibitions in their respective countries: - Canada, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.

OLR Malaysia

OLR Malaysia is organised by World Vision Malaysia in partnership with the Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) and in collaboration with Malaysian CARE. OLR Malaysia is also supported by hitz.fm. The first leg of the exhibition which was held from March – July 2008, was undertaken through funds raised by World Vision Malaysia. Following the tremendous response to the exhibition, the Ministry of Health, Malaysia (MoH), through the Malaysian AIDS Council, stepped forth as the sponsor for the second leg of the exhibition. OLR Malaysia features three Asian life-threads or stories covering different aspects of HIV/AIDS and child trafficking. This exhibition is particularly suitable for Malaysians between 15 – 35 years old.
